Our client's mission is to manage and grow libraries’ digital presence through a single platform consisting of integrated cloud based applications including solutions around event calendaring, room booking, communications, content management,  digital signage, and mobile apps. They are absolutely “fanatical” about building a next generation, wonderful user experience for both patron and staff. With a total addressable market in the US of 10,000 libraries, the sky's the limit for what they can accomplish to modernize the library experience and drive traffic to those locations. 

This role will be the first strategic marketing leader, reporting to the CEO, and managing one marketing manager. They feel that company growth, already at $5M ARR, will come from filling the funnel with the right leads and building a digital marketing strategy that will help scale their offering.  There is a lot of room for growth in marketing automation, website rebuilding, and demand generation strategies. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • This person will be responsible for defining, executing, and leading a demand generation strategy that delivers growth and revenue .

  • Own key business and revenue metrics across the sales funnel, customer growth, and retention

  • Work cross functionally with product, sales, and customer success to understand their customer base and drive organic growth. 

  • Analyze current tech stack to understand where improvements can be made to the customer journey and identify upselling opportunities where applicable.

  • Build best practices in digital marketing including but not limited to: email marketing, automation, SEO/SEM, paid advertisement, website, measurement parameters. 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience in a hands-on marketing leadership role, managing budgets, strategy, and execution. 

  • The right candidate is data-driven, seeks to optimize,  stays at the cutting edge of modern digital marketing practices, and has a  passion for working hand-in-hand with cross functional teams to drive successful user outcomes

  • Strong analytical skills, knack for providing insights to senior leadership, and making data driven decisions. 

  • Experience with HubSpot and other marketing automation tools. 

  • Experience working in a niche, B2B vertical
